Landscape design and business management software for landscaping professional.
Landscape color drawings.

How we made it

What makes the best hand-colored drawings look so good? That's what we asked ourselves before we set out to create the Color tool. Our customers told us repeatedly, 'If you're going to do color, do it right,' and we took that advice to heart. It had to meet the high standards of all of the other professional landscaping software in our DynaSCAPE Suite.

So we began our development of DynaSCAPE Color by gathering and analyzing the best color samples from the leaders in landscape design, and carefully analyzing what made them look so good. In fact, we first recreated them by hand, to fully appreciate how the best coloring effects are achieved on paper. Then we took the results of our research and reproductions, and made them the basis and the standard for our computer-assisted DynaSCAPE Color output.

Like the best hand-colored designs, what makes DynaSCAPE Color output stand out from the crowd is the expert use of:

  • Color:
DynaSCAPE Color comes pre-loaded with over 675 color swatches, organized into three distinct Styles – Pencil-Crayon, Marker Hybrid & Contemporary – that give you the same hand-drawn look that makes DynaSCAPE Design the industry standard for CAD-based rendering.  All colors are designed to be compatible to ensure that you always produce artistic results, and you can also create your own new swatches and add them to the mix.
  • Shading:
DynaSCAPE Color adds subtle and adjustable shadowing to the objects that you color, instantly creating a 3D-like effect that not only pleases the eye but also adds important depth information to your drawings, helping to clarify your landscaping plans for your clients.
  • Texture:
DynaSCAPE Color also includes an impressive array of attractive textures and patterns that add realism and flair to the paving and waterscape elements of your designs.
  • Opacities:
DynaSCAPE Color lets you arrange your colored elements by layer and adjust the opacity of any one of them, which adds a subtle, refined quality to your drawings and also helps impart information about how those elements will be layered and arranged in the client's garden.
