Changes and Improvements for Quote/Manage 4.5
DS|Quote and DS|Manage have undergone changes to accommodate the new Online Plant Database and to integrate with the DS|Design version 5.
Overview of the contents of this release:

- 64-bit Compatibility (not for QuickBooks)
Integration with Design v5.3 for Creating Quotes: As with pre Design 5 versions, DS|Quote and DS|Manage are now integrated with DS|Design with version 5.3. The Plant Labeling panel and the new Design Labeling panel link to the Quote/Manage Price List as expected, although the Design Labeling link concept has seen a significant change (see Changes and Improvements for DynaSCAPE Design 5.3 (Quote/Manage integration). Quotes can still be created from DynaSCAPE drawings, although now you can only import from a design in Quote/Manage (as opposed to exporting to Quote/Manage from Design as in previous versions).

New Horticopia-powered Online Plant Database for Plant Data: A new Online Plant Database replaces the current DynaSCAPE Online Plant Encyclopaedia. This new database of over 9,000 plants is powered by Horticopia, the leader in plant information in North America. The cultural information found in each plant record in the Price List has also been simplified, showing only the most important information typically needed for choosing plants.
Plant Care Instructions Tab Added for User Editing: Plant care is no longer part of the Online Plant Database. Instead, a Care tab has been added to the plant record, making it completely editable and customizable before creating a Plant Care Package. When users update to Quote/Manage 4.5, all matched plants will have the care information that appears in the current DynaSCAPE Online Plant Encyclopaedia added to the Care tab as editable text (with a maximum of approximately 650 characters).
Plant Care Package created as a PDF: Plant Care Packages which currently export as a Word document, now export as a Secure PDF (un-editable) with more consistent formatting on each page. Editing of care instructions is now done in the plant record Care tab.

This upgrade is not available as an internet update. You can request this upgrade through the My Account page or by calling DynaSCAPE at 1.800.710.1900 (free to current subscribers). Do not install this update until after you have installed DS|Design v5.3.
