Changes and Improvements for DynaSCAPE Design 5.2 Patch
This release is a patch that addresses some issues found in DS|Design 5.0 as well as the known problems with Windows Vista 64-Bit Operating System:
- 64-Bit issues fixed! A number of known issues related to operating DS|Design v5 on Windows Vista 64-Bit:
- Save as PDF and JPEG
- Plant matching in the Plant List Editor
- Downloading plants to the Plant List Editor
- Inserting Plant Images
- Other issues fixed:
- AutoCAD import
- Plant List Editor sorting issue
- Raster file type filter for *.opd files
- Removing raster image issue
- Export to Excel ‘Quantity’ column width
- New Features:
- ‘Price’ column added to the plant label panel
- ‘Price’ added to Manage (web edition) label
64-Bit issues fixed! A number of known issues related to operating DynaSCAPE v5 on Windows Vista 64-Bit:
- Save as PDF and JPEG - the PDF/JPEG writer has been updated with a 64-bit compatible writer to allow saving in these formats
- Plant matching in the Plant List Editor - plants can now be matched to the Online Plant Database
- Downloading plants to the Plant List Editor - plants can now be downloaded from the Online Plant Database
- Inserting Plant Images - plant images inserted using the ‘Search for plant images …’ tool will no longer crash DS|Design
Note: Full compatibility with Vista 64-Bit for DS|Design v5 is planned for the next release. We would appreciate any feedback from our 64-Bit users so that any remaining issues can be addressed.
Other issues fixed:
- AutoCAD import – now able to import AutoCAD files that would import into DS|Design 4.4 but not into 5.0
- Plant List Editor sorting issue - plants added manually to the Plant List Editor are now sorted properly
- Raster file type filter for *.opd files - when editing raster images on a drawing, image files with the new file extension *.opd will now be included in the file type filter
- Removing raster image issue – now able to remove raster images with long files names or long file paths
- Export to Excel ‘Quantity’ column width – fixed the Quantity column’s default width when exporting a material list to Excel
New Features:
- ‘Price’ column added to the plant label panel - a ‘Price’ column has been added to the Search Results panel to help when choosing plants for labelling based on price. (To turn this column on you will need to go to the Plant Label Settings by clicking on ‘Settings’ in the plant label panel and clicking on Edit beside Result Columns in the Search Settings section.)
- ‘Price’ added to Manage (web edition) labels - labels inserted from plants picked from Manage (web edition) now have price info to allow price information to show when exporting a material list to Word or Excel
How to get your DynaSCAPE Design updates?
This update only applies to DS|Design v5. To download, first close DS|Design. Then go to Start > Programs > DynaSCAPE > Design > Check for DynaSCAPE Design Updates. Click Run to start the update process.
