AutoCAD Site Plans to SketchUp 3D Models
Duration: 3.5hours
Instructor: Daniel Tal
See Schedule for this course >>
The 3.5 hour class is similar to the DynaSCAPE to SketchUp class except tailored for landscape architects and other site designers who use AutoDESK's AutoCAD.
The class will review how to prepare your AutoCAD file for export into SketchUp to be modeled. The process will include how to work with XREFS and sift through an AutoCAD file to extract information needed for modeling the site plan in SketchUp.
Once the AutoCAD file is ready to be imported into SketchUp, the webinar provides a clear process and method of quickly modeling the site plan while incorporating a high level of detail. Using Ruby Scripts (custom SketchUp tools) and leveraging AutoCAD blocks and layers that import into SketchUp, the class demonstrates how any given site plan can be modeled in under an hour if not faster.
If you want to get the most out your AutoCAD site plan files and SketchUp, this class is a must.
Prerequisite
Participants must know the basics of AutoCAD and the basics of Google SketchUp in order to qualify for this course.
