This is 3.5 hour intermediate level webinar demonstrating the full capabilities of SketchUp sandbox tools to create simulated terrain in SketchUp. The webinar will review how to create complex shapes and forms (like canopies).

Prerequisite
Participants must know the basics of Google SketchUp in order to qualify for this course.

Topics covered in this course:

  • Introduction to the SketchUp Sandbox menu
  • Basics of using From Contour to generate simulated grades and slopes
  • Exercises to create more complex grades
  • How to use the From Scratch Grid, Drape and Smoove tools to create landforms and digital elevation models
  • Overall approach to modeling grades into your site plan

Please note this webinar does not review how to create digital elevation site plan models from AutoCAD or other CAD contour information and elevation files.
