Issue: Activation Error: Printer not activated, error code -30 or -41 appears when trying to save as PDF in DynaScape Design Landscaping Design Software
Description: An Activation error window appears after you click File>Save As Adobe PDF
Solution: In order to fix the Activation Error: Printer not activated, error code -30 or -41 error message when trying to Save As>Adobe PDF, the first step would be to ensure the software is up to date by checking for updates using the below instructions, if there are no updates for DS|Design, please follow the Reset PDF Writer section.
- In Windows 10
- Click Windows Logo in the bottom left corner
- All Apps
- Scroll down and click on DynaScape
- Click on Check for DynaScape Design Updates and follow the prompts
- In Windows 8.1
- Click Windows logo in the bottom left corner
- Scroll down and click on the arrow in the bottom left
- Scroll over to DynaScape
- Click on Check for DynaScape Design Updates and follow the prompts
- In Windows 7:
- Check for updates by going to Start > (All) Programs > DynaScape > Design > Check for DynaScape Design Updates
- Check for updates by going to Start > (All) Programs > DynaScape > Design > Check for DynaScape Design Updates
- Now try to create a PDF by going to File>Save as>Adobe PDF, if it doesn’t work, please follow the below Reset PDF Writer instructions.
If you are already at the current version of DS|Design & DS|Color or updating did not resolve the issue, please perform the following steps:
- Open DS|Design > Help > Repair PDF Export > Yes
- Open DS|Color > Help > Repair PDF Export > Yes
